Evenings & weekends
Booked for after 5pm or on a Saturday? Same £30 / £50 prices apply — no out-of-hours surcharge.
Stubborn ear? No problem.
If a stubborn ear needs a little softening first, we will guide you and book a follow-up visit at no extra charge.
How it works
Two gentle ways to clear ear wax.
We check each ear with an otoscope first. Irrigation — a warm, controlled water flush — is our main method on a home visit, with microsuction where it's the better fit.

Irrigation
Our main method on a home visit. A warm, controlled flow of water gently softens and floats stubborn wax away — comfortable, and the gentlest fit for clearing ears at home.

How it works
Body-temperature water is gently pulsed into the ear canal with a specialist machine — never a syringe, and it does not need to reach deep into the ear. The softened wax floats out into a small cup held under your ear. We pause regularly to check progress with the otoscope.
What you'll feel
A warm, slightly tickly feeling. The water is at body temperature, so it should not feel uncomfortable.
Right for you if: you have softened the wax with drops first · no recent infection or perforation · you would like the gentlest option for a home visit.
No water · gentle suction
Microsuction
A no-water alternative using a fine suction device. We use it where it is the better fit for your ears — for example if the wax is very dry, or there is a history of perforation.

How it works
We seat you comfortably in your own chair, look inside each ear with magnifying loupes, then use a small, fine suction tip to lift the wax out. There is no water involved, so it stays warm and dry. We stop and check as we go, so nothing is rushed.
What you'll feel
You may hear a soft whooshing or the occasional little click as wax lifts away. Most people say it is far gentler than they expected.
Right for you if: you'd prefer no water · you have had a perforated eardrum in the past · the wax is dry or stubborn.
